Foster Child Advocate Service for Tarrant County (FOCAS)

Foster Child Advocate Service for Tarrant County (FOCAS) provides trained court-appointed volunteers to act as advocates and fact finders for children in foster care. JLFW volunteers are trained in interviewing skills, interpersonal communication skills, child abuse, and neglect dynamics; they serve as strong links between the child and the juvenile court system.
